Pearling Can Cause Erectile Dysfunction

In recent years there has been a rise in men turning to ‘pearling’ to enhance sexual pleasure for their partner during intercourse. pearling cause erectile dysfunction

Pearling entails the men to insert plastic beads or pearls under the skin of his penis by either a piercing professional or by the man himself. This is meant to boost physical stimulation by applying extra friction to a womans clitoris.

Dr Tobias Kohler, men’s sexual health expert, has warn that pearling can be dangerous as it can damage the urethra (a tube that carries urine from the bladder) and cause chronic pain, and even cause erectile dysfunction and scar tissue formation.

It has been reported that a 19 year old  man from Flordia tried inserting a pearl into his penis, but seven hours after making the incision he was rushed to hospital with swelling and worsening pain to his penis and blood in his urine.
Doctors had to remove a hematoma (a deep swelling of clotted blood) and cauterized the wounds to stop the bleeding.

Could Cialis Be Effective In Treating Cancerous Tumours?

cialis 20mgA clinical trial is underway which will hopefully show that Cialis weakens the ability of a tumour to fight the human immune system.

The trial is specifically focusing on those people suffering from tumours in the head and neck.

Professor Joseph Califano from the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital explained that a suppressed immune system could be the reason why these tumours respond so aggressively. He added that Cialis could prevent the immune system from producing nitric oxide which was being used by the tumours to create a shield to protect them.

It is hoped that Cialis will help the body to fight tumours on its own and cause them to shrink and possibly disappear.

Other research has already been done using Viagra for cancer treatment by Professor Ivan Borrello , a colleague of Dr. Califano. They have been working together on other studies using mice but reportedly prefer using Cialis because it works for longer period before wearing off.

One of the great advantages of using Cialis to treat head and neck tumours is that the drug is safe and its side effects are minimal.  In fact it was even noted that when compared to radiotherapy or chemotherapy the side effects of Cialis were significantly more pleasant!

Obviously the Cialis will not cure cancer alone but it could be used as a complementary treatment alongside standard cancer therapies.

Both men and women are being enrolled into the clinical trial which has been funded by the National Cancer Institute in America. It is hoped that the daily doses of Cialis over the two week trial period will boost the immune systems of the participants.

Dr. Califano mentioned that the male participants were very happy about the idea of being given Cialis as part of their treatment for cancer.

Over-The-Counter Supplements May Be Unsafe

Around 40-70% of men will experience sexual dysfunction at some point in life. herbal viagra

To avoid the embarrassment of speaking to their doctor or paying for a prescription, many buy over-the-counter (OTC) products.

However some over-the-counter drugs which are sold as alternatives to prescription only medication (POM) actually contain the active ingredients of the prescription only drugs.

It has been found that an OTC product was advertised as “natural” but contained Sildenafil, the same ingredient found in the prescription only medicine Viagra which is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).

Sildenafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase-5-inhibitors (PDE5Is).

PDE5is cannot be legally sold over-the-counter as taking them without doctors supervision can be dangerous for someone with an undiagnosed cardiac condition, and other conditions such as high or low blood pressure.
